VERTEX served as the Construction Managers for the expansion at Viejas Hotel in San Diego, California. The expansion added a 109-room hotel tower, a top-floor technology suite, added gaming floor with 1000 slots, a specialty bar, a ballroom, meeting and board rooms, as well as a resort-style pool, and extensive multi-use grounds.
Specific services provided included Construction Management, Programming, Project & Construction Budgeting, Project & Construction Scheduling as well as CM Project Delivery.
VERTEX worked with the Viejas Band of Kumeyaay Indians on the design and construction of a second hotel tower at the Viejas Casino in Alpine. VERTEX’s San Diego team has extensive resort and gaming experience throughout the United States, including the Arizona Biltmore Hotel, Stowe Mountain Lodge, Trump National in Los Angeles, and Sycuan Resort and Casino.
This $50 Million construction was completed 30 days early and under budget. Construction, which began in June 2014, involved the demolition of an existing administration building and reconfiguration of the site to blend with the existing facility.
The project was designed by the San Diego offices of JCJ Architecture, with Swinerton Builders as the general contractor.
