Xpera CM is wrapping up a two-year construction management project for Wakeland Housing and Development Corp. in San Diego.
Atmosphere is a new affordable housing community in downtown San Diego’s Cortez Hill neighborhood features a 12-story residential tower and three levels of underground parking. The project includes 154 units of affordable housing for families earning 30 to 60 percent of the Area Median Income (AMI), plus 51 units of permanent supportive housing specifically for adults requiring additional support due to homelessness, mental disability or age.
Xpera’s Building Envelope team has also performed work on the project for the general contractor, Suffolk Construction.
In 2016, Xpera CM completed two other affordable housing projects for Wakeland, including the new mixed-use Lofts on Landis community in Chula Vista and Home Front at Camp Anza, a new construction/historic rehabilitation project located at the former site of a WWII U.S. Army training camp in Riverside.
A grand opening ceremony for Atmosphere was held on May 31st.
