Xpera Building Envelope Team Continues to Grow

Posted by on

Xpera is pleased to welcome two more seasoned members to the Building Envelope team.

With over 35 years’ experience in both design and forensic architecture, Mike Gannon has exceptional technical knowledge of building envelope systems, proven both in the field and the courtroom. His design experience includes a breadth of project types, including hospitality, commercial, residential, medical, education and government sectors of the construction industry. He has also provided quality control services to complex commercial and public projects throughout Southern California.

Gannon has previously worked with such well-respected firms as Building Analysts Salerno Livingston Architects and Perry Consulting Group, where he played a key role in the company’s forensic service capabilities.

“It is rare to find an expert in building envelope systems without at least a few gaps in their expertise,” said Steve Easton, who heads up Xpera’s Building Envelope Field Operations. “Mike Gannon truly offers the complete package when it comes to waterproofing expertise and we’re proud to have him on our team.”

Also new to the team is Ralph Velasquez, who has an extensive background in commercial waterproofing systems going back to the early-1990s.

He began his construction career in San Diego as a foreman for Applied Waterproofing before serving as superintendent/quality assurance for Peter Ross California Inc., Remedy Contracting & Restoration, Diversified Construction Technology and Saddleback Waterproofing.

“Velasquez has extensive knowledge of waterproofing materials and performance, along with installation procedures,” said Easton. “He has been involved with numerous design-build projects and has been key to the success of the systems’ performance. His depth of knowledge for large new commercial project waterproofing installations, as well as projects that need resolution to failed systems, will provide great value to Xpera’s clients.”

Welcome aboard, Mike and Ralph!
