Rami Chehabi has joined the Xpera Forensic Group, focusing on research and analysis to support the evaluation of thousands of property loss claims resulting from California wildfires. Chehabi has extensive experience in various aspects of real estate development, including finance, construction and market research.
Chehabi’s background includes five years at Five Point Holdings, the largest mixed-use master-planned community developer in Coastal California, where he served in multiple roles, including financial analyst, land development analyst and market research manager. As a financial analyst, he assisted with advanced financial modeling, in-depth research, and the development and maintenance of pro formas and annual operating plans that ultimately led to three master-planned communities featuring 40,000 homesites and 21 million square feet of commercial space. As a land development analyst, he managed construction contract change orders for three phases of the Great Park Neighborhoods, a mixed-use development that includes 9,500 homes. As market research manager, he directed market research for the Great Park Neighborhoods.
Previously, Chehabi worked as a consultant/research manager for John Burns Real Estate Consulting, where he supported both the consulting and research teams, conducting feasibility studies for single-family residential communities, condominiums, apartments and master-planned communities across several states. He also wrote a monthly metro analysis and forecast report for five metropolitan markets in Texas.
Chehabi earned an MBA from the University of California, Irvine and two undergraduate degrees, in international business from the University of Edinburgh and in economics from the University of Texas at Austin. Additionally, he holds a post-graduate certificate in construction management from Louisiana State University and has met the requirements to sit for the California CPA exam by completing a certificate in accounting from the University of California, San Diego.
Chehabi is an active member of the Building Industry Association, Urban Land Institute and the Turnaround Management Association.
